John Tancabel is a litigation associate in the Dallas office of Diamond McCarthy.  His practice centers on securities, fiduciary duty litigation, antitrust and white collar criminal defense.

John has had extensive experience in these areas, including the representation of a broad range of clients from individual officers, directors and stockholders, to corporations, partnerships, investment funds, institutional investors, stock brokers and accounting firms.  

John has assisted clients with a variety of aspects of corporate and securities litigation from class actions to proxy contests, corporate control litigation and derivative actions.

John has also counseled clients on complex and time-sensitive internal investigations, RICO and insider trading claims, and internal compliance programs.

John received his J.D., summa cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Southern Methodist University in 2007, where he served as Associate Managing Editor of the SMU Law Review Association.

He received his B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Dallas in 2002.
